In 2002, Enbridge launched its Safe Community program specifically for first responders providing safety along the company’s project corridor rights-of-way. The Safe Community program awards grants of up to $7,500 for safety equipment, professional training, or safety education programs to organizations invited to apply, including fire departments, emergency medical and rescue services, emergency management organizations, 9-1-1 centers, ambulance services and law enforcement organizations. Deadline for the spring application review is March 31 and September 30 for the fall review. While all applications will be considered, priority consideration is given to invited applicants.
Enbridge Gas Inc. is now accepting applications for the 2020 Safe Community Program grants and are eager to receive your proposal to increase public safety and make our rights-of-way communities even safer with support from Enbridge. Additionally, should your community staff or first responders have COVID-19 specific personal protective equipment (PPE) needs, proposals will be considered for this type of support. Applications for 2020 grants will be accepted for review no later than September 30, 2020
