Do you know an Indigenous person interested in finance?  They could launch their financial career by joining the Indigenous Financial Management Apprenticeship Program (IFMAP). Developed in collaboration with AFOA Canada, Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC), and Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS), the 24-month program seeks to empower Indigenous individuals interested in finance. Successful apprentices will receive education through AFOA Canada’s Indigenous Financial Management Certificate program and the post-secondary partner, Simon Fraser University. They will also receive on-the-job experience by working on financial teams or projects in federal departments, and they will receive ongoing support such as a financial professional mentor.     If you have any questions please contact ifmc@afoa.ca.
